Your Final Campaign Review
-
Hi everyone, and welcome to Chapter 9!
You have made it to the final preparation stage before launching your campaign.
First...
Take a moment to recognize how much work you've already done.
You have built your project.
You have researched your audience.
You have created your story.
You have planned your rewards.
You have developed your marketing strategy.
You have thought through fulfillment.
Now it is time for one final step:
Your campaign review.
In project management, we often talk about quality assurance.
Quality assurance is the process of reviewing your work to make sure everything is complete, accurate, and ready before it is shared.
Your Kickstarter campaign is no different.
Before you launch, you want to complete one final quality check.
Review Your Campaign Page
Start by reading your entire campaign page from beginning to end.
Don't skim.
Read it like you are a backer seeing this project for the first time.
Ask yourself:
Does this clearly explain what my project is?
Does my story make sense?
Would someone understand why this project matters?
Is there anything confusing or missing?
Check Your Visuals
Review every image and video on your page.
Ask:
Are my images high quality?
Do they accurately represent my project?
Are my visuals consistent with my brand?
Does my video load correctly?
Does the audio work?
Watch your Kickstarter video one more time.
Make sure everything looks and sounds the way you want before launch.
Test Everything
Click every button.
Test every link.
Check every reward tier.
Make sure your descriptions, pricing, and details are correct.
Small mistakes are easy to fix before launch but can create confusion later.
Review Your Logistics
Before you launch, confirm the details behind the scenes.
Double-check:
Your fulfillment timeline.
Your shipping plan.
Your budget.
Your production schedule.
Your reward details.
Make sure your promises match what you can realistically deliver.
Remember:
A successful campaign is not just about getting funded.
It is about keeping the promises you make to your supporters.
Ask for Another Perspective
One of the best things you can do is ask one or two trusted people to review your campaign.
Find someone who can look at it with fresh eyes.
Ask them:
What questions do you still have?
Was anything confusing?
What part excited you the most?
Sometimes another person will notice something you missed simply because you've been looking at this project for so long.
One Final Reminder
As creators, we often want to keep tweaking forever.
We want to change one more sentence.
Adjust one more image.
Make one more improvement.
And while thoughtful improvements are important...
Eventually, you have to launch.
So remember:
Done is better than perfect.
Complete your final review checklist, make any last important updates, and then get ready...
Because your launch is almost here. And I hope you are VERY proud of yourself. I’m proud of you!
I'll see you in the next lesson!

Preparing for Launch Day
-
Hi everyone, and welcome back!
Now it is time to talk about something that is both exciting and a little nerve-wracking...
Launch day.
Your launch day is the moment you've been preparing for throughout this entire course.
And while it may feel like everything is happening at once, a little preparation can help you feel confident, calm, and ready.
Your Launch Day Mindset
Before we talk about the checklist, I want to remind you of something important.
Launch day is not about perfection.
Things may not go exactly according to plan.
Someone may have trouble accessing your page.
A post may need to be adjusted.
A question may come up that you didn't expect.
That is normal.
As the creator of this crowdfunding project, your job is not to prevent every possible challenge.
Your job is to be prepared and respond thoughtfully.
Your Launch Day Checklist
Let's walk through the important things to prepare.
Confirm Your Campaign Link
Before sharing anything:
Make sure your campaign is live.
Click the link yourself.
Make sure everything loads correctly.
Save the link somewhere easy to access.
You will be sharing it often!
Prepare Your Launch Posts
Don't wait until launch day to write everything.
Prepare your content ahead of time.
Have your:
Launch announcement
Social media posts
Emails
Messages to supporters
Images and videos
ready to go.
This allows you to spend launch day connecting with people instead of scrambling to create content.
Confirm Your Early Supporters
Remember your early backer plan from Chapter 8.
Reach out to the people who told you they wanted to support your project.
Send your reminder message.
Make sure they know:
When your campaign launches
Where to find it
How they can support
And remember...
You are inviting people into your project.
You are not demanding support.
Prepare Your Equipment
If you are planning to record updates, go live, or share videos:
Charge your devices.
Check your microphone.
Check your lighting.
Make sure you have everything you need.
Small preparation steps can make the day feel much easier.
Plan Your Time
Launch day can be exciting, but it can also become overwhelming.
Create a simple schedule.
For example:
Morning:
☐ Confirm campaign is live
☐ Share launch announcement
☐ Thank early supporters
Afternoon:
☐ Respond to comments
☐ Share updates
☐ Check messages
Evening:
☐ Celebrate your progress
☐ Review your first day
☐ Rest
During Your Campaign
Remember:
Your job is not just to ask people to back your project.
Your job is to build relationships.
Thank people.
Respond to questions.
Share milestones.
Celebrate progress.
Introduce new people to your story.
Your supporters are not just customers.
They are part of your project journey.
Keep Communicating
One of the biggest mistakes creators make is disappearing after launch.
Even if things are quiet, continue sharing.
Share:
Behind-the-scenes moments.
Progress updates.
Challenges you're solving.
Small wins.
Thank-you messages.
People appreciate being included.
Celebrate!
This part is important.
Do not rush past this moment.
You created something.
You built a plan.
You shared your idea with the world.
That is worth celebrating.
Whether your campaign reaches your exact goal, exceeds it, or teaches you lessons for your next project...
Launching is an accomplishment.
Final Reminder
Preparation creates confidence.
Your launch day checklist is not here because we expect everything to go perfectly.
It is here because you deserve to enjoy the moment you worked so hard to create.
So prepare.
Show up.
Connect with your community.
And most importantly...
Celebrate.
Your campaign is launching!
I'll see you in the next lesson.

Redefining Success
-
Redefining Success
Hi everyone, and welcome back!
Before we move into the final part of this course, I want you to take a moment and reflect.
You have spent the last several weeks building something from an idea into a real crowdfunding campaign.
You have created a plan.
You have made decisions.
You have learned new skills.
You have challenged yourself.
And now I want to talk about something that is just as important as your launch strategy:
How do you define success?
At the very beginning of this course, you completed a worksheet about your launch goal.
I want you to go back and look at that worksheet.
What did you write?
What did success mean to you when you first started?
Maybe success meant raising a certain amount of money.
Maybe it meant getting your first customers.
Maybe it meant finally sharing an idea you've been working on for years.
Maybe it meant proving to yourself that you could actually launch something.
Now that you have completed this process...
I want you to revisit that definition.
Because you have learned so much since that first day.
Success Is Bigger Than a Funding Number
Of course, funding matters.
A crowdfunding campaign has a financial goal for a reason.
But your campaign is also creating something much bigger.
Success can look like:
Creating your first campaign.
Building confidence as a creator.
Learning how to tell your story.
Talking with your audience.
Testing your idea.
Creating your first marketing plan.
Building relationships with supporters.
Learning skills you can use for future projects.
Finishing something you started.
These are all meaningful accomplishments.
Create a Goal You Can Actually Achieve
Now, this is also the time to check in with yourself honestly.
Is your goal realistic?
Does your funding goal match your current audience size, resources, timeline, and ability to fulfill rewards?
A strong creator balances ambition with reality.
Dreaming big is wonderful.
But successful projects also require thoughtful planning.
Ask yourself:
Is this goal challenging but possible?
Do I have a realistic plan to reach it?
Do I know what actions I need to take?
The "What If It Doesn't Work?" Question
Now I want you to answer an important question.
What if your campaign does not reach your original goal?
What would you still be proud of?
Would you be proud that you launched?
Would you be proud that you shared your idea?
Would you be proud that you learned how crowdfunding works?
Would you be proud that you created something that did not exist before?
A campaign outcome does not erase the work you completed.
Every launch gives you information.
Every conversation teaches you something.
Every attempt makes you a stronger creator.
Learn, Adjust, Try Again
One of the biggest lessons in entrepreneurship is that projects rarely go exactly as planned.
Successful creators learn from what happens next.
If your campaign does not reach your goal, ask:
What worked?
What did people respond to?
Where did people lose interest?
What would I change next time?
Would I adjust my message?
My audience?
My rewards?
My timeline?
My funding goal?
The goal is not to avoid every challenge.
The goal is to learn and improve.
Your New Definition of Success
Now I want you to complete this reflection in your workbook… I’ll share these prompts outloud here too… :
When I started this course, I thought success meant:
Today, I define success as:
I am already proud that I:
If my campaign does not go exactly as planned, I will:
One thing I will carry forward into my next project is:
Final Reminder
Your crowdfunding campaign is not just a fundraiser or a product launch.
It is a project.
a learning experience.
It is proof that you took an idea and moved it into action.
Whether you exceed your goal, meet your goal, or learn what you need to improve...
you have accomplished something important.
Remember:
Success is not just reaching the destination.
Success is becoming the person who was brave enough to begin the journey.Congratulations on how far you have come.
I'll see you in the next lesson, where we will talk about learning from your campaign and using data to make your next project even stronger.

Learning From Your Campaign: Analytics & Lessons Learned
-
In the last lesson, we talked about redefining success and recognizing everything you accomplished by bringing your idea into the world.
Now we are going to talk about what happens after your campaign.
Because one of the biggest mistakes creators make is thinking:
"My campaign is finished, so the project is over."
But, from my perspective as an entrepreneur who is ALSO a project manager by trade… , you know that every project holds valuable information when it is complete.
A campaign does not just give you a result.
It gives you data.
It gives you feedback.
It gives you lessons you can use for your next project.
What Are KPIs?
Let's start with a simple term used in many industries including marketing, project management, and general business:
KPI.
KPI stands for Key Performance Indicator.
A KPI is a measurement that helps you understand how your project performed.
You do not need hundreds of numbers.
You just need to identify the information that helps you answer:
"What worked?"
"What didn't work?"
"What should I repeat?"
"What should I change?"
Reviewing Your Campaign Data
After your crowdfunding campaign ends, take some time to review your results.
Some helpful numbers to look at include:
Funding Results
How much money did you raise?
Did you reach your goal?
How many backers supported your project?
What was your average pledge amount?
Which reward tier was the most popular?
Audience & Marketing Results
Where did your backers come from?
Did they find you through:
Social media?
Email?
Friends and family?
Press coverage?
Community groups?
Your website?
Which marketing efforts created the most interest?
By us learning about these concepts NOW before you officially launch, you also have the opportunity to ADD in some data collecting tools before your launch. On Kickstarter (and other crowdfunding platforms), there are places you can connect Meta Pixels, Google Analytics, and even make specific tracking links so you can see how many people click through different platforms. For example, maybe you make a LinkedIn tracking link that you use to post specifically on LinkedIn, and one for Facebook and yet another for email.
If you are both new to marketing and new to crowdfunding, I’d suggest not doing this level of detail in terms of tracking… because there are so many other things to focus on, BUT if you’re a numbers person and a details in the data kind of person, this is a really cool option to add more metrics.
Campaign Page Performance
If available, review your campaign page information.
Look at:
How many people visited your page?
How many people became backers?
Where did people spend their time?
What questions did people ask?
What parts of your story connected with people?
Learn From the Process
The numbers are important...
But the story behind the numbers matters too.
Take time to reflect.
Ask yourself:
What worked better than expected?
What was harder than expected?
What surprised me?
What feedback did I receive?
What did my supporters love?
What questions came up repeatedly?
Lessons Learned
In project management, we often complete something called a lessons learned review.
This is a conversation after a project where we ask:
"What should we continue doing?"
"What should we stop doing?"
"What should we start doing next time?"
Your Kickstarter campaign is a perfect opportunity to do this.
If You Launch Again...
Imagine you run another campaign in the future.
What would you repeat?
Maybe:
Your reward structure.
Your storytelling approach.
Your marketing strategy.
Your early supporter plan.
Your fulfillment process.
Your communication style.
Now ask:
What would you adjust?
Maybe:
Your timeline.
Your funding goal.
Your pricing.
Your audience research.
Your launch strategy.
Your content plan.
There is no failure in learning.
Every campaign gives you information.
Create Your Campaign Report
I encourage you to save your reflections. And also think of this project as one for your portfolio as a creator.
Even a simple one-page document can become incredibly valuable as an asset later on.
Include:
Your original goal.
Your final results.
Your biggest wins.
Your biggest challenges.
Your lessons learned.
Your ideas for next time.
This becomes your personal project history.. And could make a great addition to your own Case Study if you ever use this project as an example of your work in the future.
Final Reflection
Before we finish this lesson, I want you to remember:
Your first campaign is not supposed to be your perfect campaign.
Your first campaign is your learning campaign.
Every creator you admire started somewhere.
They learned by creating.
They improved by reviewing.
They became stronger by trying again.
So after your campaign ends, don't just ask:
"Did I succeed?"
Also ask:
"What did I learn?"
Because that answer is what helps you build your next project even better.
In the next lesson, we will talk about your final submissions, your live Q&A, instructor feedback, and celebrating everything you have accomplished throughout this bootcamp.
I'll see you there!

During Week 5, we will meet together live online!
This is your opportunity to ask questions, share your project, and learn from other creators in the cohort.
Before the session, think about:
What part of my campaign would I like feedback on?
What questions do I still have?
What challenge am I currently working through?
What part of my project am I most excited to share?
Your questions will help make the session valuable for everyone.
The Power of Community
One of the most valuable parts of crowdfunding is that you are not creating alone.
Every creator has moments of uncertainty.
Every creator has questions.
Every creator learns through the process.
The community you build around your project can become one of your greatest resources.
Use this opportunity to connect with your fellow creators, celebrate their wins, and support each other's journeys.
Your Certificate
After completing Week 5, you will receive your Launch Ready: Kickstarter Bootcamp certificate!
This certificate represents more than completing lessons.
It represents the work you put into:
Learning new skills.
Building a plan.
Taking action.
Moving your idea closer to reality.
One Final Thought
I want to leave you with this:
A lot of people have ideas.
Far fewer people take the time to plan them, build them, and share them.
You chose to take action.
You chose to learn.
You chose to create.
Whether this is your first campaign or the beginning of many more, remember:
Every successful creator started with a first project.
Every expert was once a beginner.
Every launch begins with one decision:
"I'm going to try."
Thank you for trusting me to be part of your creative journey.
I cannot wait to see what you create, what you launch, and what happens next.
Congratulations.
You are ready.
Now go bring your idea into the world.
I'll see you in our live Q&A!
11. Post Your Work to our LinkedIn Group
Take a screenshot or save your work as a PDF.
